Christopher Rivera named head of Council of State Bioscience Associations
Chris Rivera, president of the Washington Biotechnology & Biomedical Association, will represent the interests of 48 life sciences trade organizations across the country.
Rivera was named chairman of the Council of State Bioscience Associations, a council of the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO).
BIO works closely with state bioscience associations in the council to improve understanding of the industry and advocate for policies that help promote its development throughout the United States, Peter Pellerito, interim vice president at BIO, said in a statement.
“This network continues to play the instrumental role of working with state legislatures in addressing the need for continued investment in the growth of the high-paying, jobs-producing industry,” he said.
