A lot of stories have been written about the Internet and why it has become a dominant force these days, and has literally made its way into our lives and built a completely new space for itself.

What it has also done is that it has allowed people to express themselves in ways that wouldnt have been possible, and while this can be inspiring, in and of itself, you have all sorts of people going nuts with their computers and video cameras these days.

With the fashion police seriously outnumbered, you can find information in the form of text and videos that range from the somber to the strange to even the bizarre

And sometimes, watching people make complete a**es of themselves is nothing but pure pleasure blame it on the sadist in all of us!

Take the countless bloopers videos posted on Youtube (watch the one at this link) which are vaguely related to water sports or the types the adrenalin junkies are hooked to and can be attributed to televisions latest wave of popular programming reality TV.

Physicians, start your PCs.

Stimulus money set aside by Congress in 2009 is beginning to find its way to doctors and hospitals nationwide as they make the transition from paper medical records to electronic ones.

Early adopters such as Manny Fernandez, CEO of Medical Specialists of the Palm Beaches, believe computerized records will transform medical care by making it more efficient.

When Fernandez found himself in the emergency room at JFK Medical Center with chest pain two weeks ago, his doctor opted not to order an array of costly tests involving radiation because he was able to see on his iPhone that Fernandez had those tests already, and they had been normal.

Because of that, he said, ‘We don’t have to go crazy’ with tests, Fernandez said.

Posted by 23 Jul, 2011

Only another migraine sufferer can truly feel Michele Bachmann’s pain, but since an estimated 30 million Americans are in that camp, it’s reasonable to expect that we’ll be hearing from both the impassioned left and the defensive right as to the Republican candidate’s ability to perform as president in light of her headaches. Global spending on humanitarian aid hit a record $16.7 billion in 2010 despite the financial crisis, but devastating disasters and rising delivery costs meant almost 40 percent of needs still went unmet, new data showed on Wednesday. Governments poured $12.4 billion into emergency relief, up 6 percent from the year before, while private donors gave $4.3 billion, according to preliminary estimates by Global Humanitarian Assistance, a British-based aid monitoring group. “While the overall international response to humanitarian crises shows an upward trend, many governments are coming under pressure to justify existing levels of aid spending,” GHA said in its latest annual report on aid flows.
