If there’s a silver lining to the arm injury suffered by Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira at UFC 140 it appears to be related to recovery time. While little good may have actually come from Nogueira having his arm broken by Frank Mir after refusing to tap to a Kimura, the popular Brazilian has said he expects to be back in the cage by summer and, to the delight of his countrymen, is targeting a UFC event in Sao Paolo rumored for June.
Nogueira updated fans on his recovery where he said the bone is healing better than expected and will be fully patched by the end of February.

The UFC announced Wednesday night that two more fights have been added to UFC on FUEL TV 1, which is slated for February 15 from the Omaha, Nebraska CenturyLink Center. The main event of the night will be Diego Sanchez taking on Jake Ellenberger.
Now, fights between middleweights Aaron Simpson and Ronny Markes, along with featherweights Jonathan Brookins and Rani Yayha, have been added to the card, according to the UFCs Twitter account.
Simpson (11-2) has won his last three fights, all by unanimous decision.
ONC pushing for standards to increase interoperability
The Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) is pushing hard for universal adoption of standards that will increase the interoperability of health IT applications, according to Doug Fridsma, director of ONC’s Office of Standards and Interoperability. Writing on ONC’s Health IT Buzz blog, Fridsma explained why these standards should not be optional. [...]
The Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) is pushing hard for universal adoption of standards that will increase the interoperability of health IT applications, according to Doug Fridsma, director of ONC’s Office of Standards and Interoperability.
Writing on ONC’s Health IT Buzz blog, Fridsma explained why these standards should not be optional. “Reducing optionality improves interoperability and lowers the cost for vendors to implement,” he said, ”thus lowering the cost for health care providers as well.”
Fridsma summarized recent advances on three ONC projects related to interoperability standards:
The , which has enlisted 150 participants, has “reduced optionality compared with the C32″–a standardized clinical summary document–and has clarified the specifications for HL7′s Clinical Document Architecture (CDA).
